We provide a Fun, Safe and Constructive Environment for your children at Afterschool Care. We have trained staff and are WINZ approved for funding. Your child/ren can be supervised and assisted with any homework or simply fill in the time with activities and play.

Whether your child needs caring for until 4pm, 5pm or 6pm, or if they need caring for all five days of the week or just one day, then we can help you.

Kids really enjoy our Afterschool programme which is always great to see as a parent & caregiver.

We'll provide them with afternoon tea, supervise their home work, let them play, then do a fun activity with them so you can be rest assured that they are safe, secure and having a fun time.

A typical daily format of our Afterschool Programme is:

•             3:00 - 3:30 Pickup, Roll Call, Afternoon snack

•             3:30 - 5:30 Homework, Outside/Inside play, Art & Crafts / Sports  

•             5:30 - 6:00 Clean up & Free Play

We provide a full pickup service from Matamata schools to our Afterschool  facilities located at Matamata Christian School on Smith Street, Matamata. 

Our rates are as follows:

• Pickup until 4pm - $9.00

• Pickup until 5pm - $13.00

• Pickup until 6pm - $17.00

To book your child into the Afterschool Care programme, please either complete the Enrolment Form and the Booking Form and email it to afterschool@starfishservices.org.nz or contact the office directly on 07 888 8795.

Please complete the Children with Special Needs, Special Medical requirements & Disabilities Form if your child has special requirements.

It is important for Parents/Caregivers to familiarise yourself with the Policies and Procedures of our Afterschool Care and Holiday Programme.

If for any reason you wish to withdrawal your child from Afterschool Care than you will need to give 2 weeks notice and complete the following form Withdrawal Form . 

Once the form is completed you will need to return it to either the Programme Coordinator, Programme Assistant or Starfish Social Services, Thank you.
