Mentoring is about helping young people establish a sense of identity, mana, and whakapapa. It is supporting them to develop positive aspirations for their future, so they can grow and flourish to their full potential.

At present, Starfish supports young people in the youth justice system and youth identified as vulnerable across Matamata-Piako. As Starfish grows its mentoring service with a well-trained, skilled and diverse pool of mentors, we hope to better serve the community.
